The pandemic introduced challenges to almost every aspect of access to the library’s print collection and physical space. Preserving patron access in the face of these challenges required flexibility, creativity, and “radical empathy” from all stakeholders. This session will describe some of the key issues that arose within one academic Access Services department, the strategies we developed and adapted over the year, and the discoveries we’ve made that will shape our philosophies post-pandemic.
