dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to determine whether female adolescents in West Dallas had knowledge of the correct use of oral contraceptives, and whether there was a difference in this knowledge between those who were taki~g birth control pills and those who were not. The participants were 42 adolescent females. Fourteen (33%) of the adolescent females were using birth control pills and 28 (67%) were not. The instrument used to collect data was the Knowledge of Oral Contraceptives, developed by the researcher, and administered in January 1993 to February 1993. The t-test was used to analyze the data. Results reve~led no significant difference in knowledge between the two groups. | en_US |
