dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to answer the following question : What are the attitudes of oncology nurses toward cancer? A nonexperimental, descriptive design was utilized to determine nurses' attitudes toward cancer; 47 oncology nurses selected by convenience sampling completed an attitude inventory . The attitude inventory administered to the oncology nurses was the Cancer Attitude Inventory developed by Donovan, Hohloch , and coulson . Using descriptive statistics, it was determined that oncology nurses possess favorable attitudes toward cancer. In addition, using Dunn's post hoc simultaneous comparison procedure, data indicated that Master's prepared nurses have a significantly ((£~. 1) 1) more positive attitude toward cancer than do Associate degree nurses . | en_US |
