The purpose of this study was to ascertain the perceived marital adjustment of 148 married female graduate students as related to their interpersonal needs of inclusion, control, and affection according to their level of education, income, and occupational status. Data were analysed by means of F-tests and the Pearson product-moment correlation technique. The results indicated that marital adjustment was enhanced by positive interpersonal relationships, education, and income. A significant relationship was found among the following variables: (a) marital adjustment and wanted affection; (b) marital adjustment and income; (c) expressed control and income; (d) marital adjustment, interpersonal needs, and education among the Master's group; and (e) marital adjustment, interpersonal needs, and income among the low combined income category.en_US
