dc.description.abstract | There is limited research regarding the dog guide handler who lives in the United States and their experience of having a dog guide as their primary mobility aid. This on-line qualitative study had 23 participants who completed the study regarding their lived experience within the first year of having their dog guide. Three themes regarding the positive and negative aspects of having a dog guide as one’s primary mobility aid were identified, and conclusions and implications for future research are proposed. | |
