Abstract

This project describes the potential effects of incorporating technology into the mathematics classroom. After collecting research, information was discovered regarding the positive and negative outcomes of teaching with large quantities of technology, teaching with a lack of technological resources, and teaching virtually amidst a global pandemic. Educators must learn independently or be trained to use numerous programs to teach math electronically. Teaching challenges and opportunities accompany the utilization of technology but also the impacts students. Teaching with technology can affect the levels of student engagement, success, and content acquisition. Aside from these areas, students must be taught various learning programs and may be deficient in technological fluidity. This project will further explain the effects of technology on both the teachers and students, as well as the technological limitations encountered while teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic.
