Item Women In Art(2022) Anthony-Waters, DeCayla; Vu, G.; Elegonye, C.; Navarra-Madsen, JunalynThe goal of this paper is to show appreciation for the women in art history that no one usually talks about. If you ask someone to name an artist, they might immediately say Picasso, Van Gogh, or Leonardo Da Vinci. The chances of someone naming a female artist is slim because we rarely learn about them. There are so many well- known male artists, and female artists are kind of just pushed aside and overlooked. It’s usually a lot harder for female artists to get the attention that they deserve, and we want to change that. We will be talking about different female artists in history, and what they were able to accomplish. We will also talk about modern day female artists. Our goal by the end of this paper is to educate people, and bring more female artists to the spotlight. (Faculty Sponsor: Dr. Junalyn Navarra-Madsen)
