Dental hygiene students' attitudes toward the handicapped
Attitudes toward the handicapped between students in 2-year dental hygiene programs and students in 4-year dental hygiene programs were studied. A Likert-type rating scale, Dental Hygiene Students' Attitudes Toward the Handicapped Scale, was administered to 62 dental hygiene students, 27 students enrolled in a 2-year dental hygiene program and 35 students enrolled in a 4-year dental hygiene program. The data were analyzed using the t test. No statistically significant difference in attitude scores toward the handicapped between last year dental hygiene students enrolled in a 2-year dental hygiene program and in a 4-year dental hygiene program was found.
