A descriptive analysis of holistic data about multiple sclerosis

This study used a descriptive design to collect holistic data with regard to the etiology of multiple sclerosis (MS). The answers of the questionnaires from 60 MS patients were analyzed, and resulted in the idea that adrenal glands and sex hormones in conjunction with physical stresses, such as alteration in temperature, could be the key factors in the etiology of multiple sclerosis. The susceptibility to MS seems to be a result of the individual's tolerance to the upper and lower temperatures. Results from this study support the belief that multiple sclerosis is not a disease but that multiple sclerosis are symptoms of a syndrome rising from a healthy reaction of the body. Further research is needed to establish a data base for increasing knowledge about MS and the means for preventing it.
