    Abstract
It is no secret that the STEM fields have always been dominated by men, where women only account for a small fraction of the entire field. The purpose of this study is to inform people about the importance of women in STEM fields. We will do this by bringing attention to women throughout the decades that have manifested, in their own way, their intelligence and skills as well as how they have positively impacted the world. This research paper will discuss the need of having more women be a part of STEM fields and how they can impact and inspire young girls. The study will be conducted using scholarly articles and statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Upon completion of this study, there should be a better understanding of how women are continuing to change the STEM fields.
